Our Story

Mortal Minds was conceived in the spring of 2021 when some friends got together over really good coffee. Out of that meeting came something exciting - a common goal.

The goal? To roast, brew, and share world-class coffee.

2020 was a difficult year for us, as well as for countless others, for many different reasons. Mortal Minds grew from the necessity of redemption.

The concept is simple - we are all imperfect. There is only so much that we can comprehend and do on our own. It’s only through the acknowledgement of imperfection that we can start to fill in the gaps with community.

The knowledge of our mortality causes us to take action and live in the present with others. We begin to focus on improvement and attend to the present while fostering hope for the future.

Therefore, imperfection in the present reveals potential, and potential provides hope. Without hope, there is nothing.

So we embrace that potential and use it in each step of our process. But we never take our eyes away from that which motivates us: our mortality. We must be honest with the presence of darkness in order to truly appreciate that which staves off its presence.

So, we move forward.

We ascend.

We gather.

And we have a cup of coffee.
